Christmas Services

Here are our main Christmas Services

Saturdays in Advent (7th, 14th, 21st) - Holy Hour

9.30am to 10.30am. A time of led quiet prayer and reflection before the Blessed Sacrament during the Advent season as we prepare to celebrate Christmas. The time is split into four 15 minute segments starting at 10am, 10.15am, 10.30am and 10.45am. Feel free to come for all or part of the prayer time - just come and go as you please.

Thursday before Christmas (19th December) - Carol Service

7pm Carol Service. Come and sing some of your favourite carols, interspersed with readings from the Bible, as well as Christmas poems and readings from secular authors, and hear Christmas songs from the choir.

Christmas Eve (Tuesday 24th December)

4pm Christingle Service in aid of the Childrens Society. Come and celebrate Christmas with this traditional Christingle service as we sing carols, hear the Christmas story, and light our Christingles together

11.30pm Midnight Mass. The first mass of Christmas, with carols and the blessing of the crib

Christmas Day (Wednesday 25th December)

8am Holy Communion. Said Book of Common Prayer service

10am Together@10. All-age communion service for Christmas Day. Bring one of your Christmas presents

Boxing Day - Feast of Saint Stephen  (Thursday 26th December)

10am Holy Communion

Feast of Saint John  (Friday 27th December)

10am Holy Communion

Sunday after Christmas - Octave of Saint John and Patronal Festival  (29th December)

10am Patronal Mass with carols to celebrate the feast of our patron saint

Epiphany (Sunday 5th January)

8am Holy Communion. Said Book of Common Prayer service

10am Together@10. All-age communion service for the feast of the Epiphany. The wise men arrive at the crib
