Remembrance 2018

St John’s Church have had an art installation of 20 perspex silhouettes which represent members of the congregation who lost their lives in the First World War. The congregation and Brownies Guides and Scouts have knitted crocheted and made 850 felt poppies to hang over the porch. There will also be a display of 200 ‘Tower of London’ poppies by The Church steps.

The poppy net has now gone up and makes a real impact over the church porch. A huge ‘thank you’ to everyone who has contributed to this wonderful display. Members of the congregation, Scouts, Guides, Brownies,Trefoil groups and St John’s bell ringers and bell ringers from East Grinstead and Dorking.
